Constitution
The governing framework, statutes and bylaws under which the Association operates.
Constitution and by-laws
The rules that govern how the Association is run, who may join it and how decisions are made.
The Bahrain Association of Plastic Surgery is one of the specialty associations of the Bahrain Medical Society, and an integral part of it. The Association works under the Society’s Articles of Association, and its internal affairs follow the by-laws the Society has set for all of its specialty associations.
Those by-laws set out the Association’s objectives, who may join, how the General Assembly and the administrative committee work, and how money is handled. They can be amended only by a two-thirds majority of full members, with the approval of the Society’s Board of Directors. Both documents can be downloaded below.
What the documents cover
- Objectives of the Society and its specialty associations
- Membership categories, rights and duties
- The General Assembly, elections and voting
- The Board of Directors and the administrative committee
- Finance, dissolution and final provisions
